Aztec Wall

It was just a simple picture in a not-happening at all travel magazine that made me paint the Aztec Wall (Size: 11x14inches, Medium: Watercolor).

I loved the fact that I could actually feel the bright sun shining down on this warm yellow wall, while the cool blue window represented the comfort indoors. Even though this house is almost falling apart, the shade inside continues to provide a get-away from the hot summer days. This was a picture of a wall, a boundary between shade and light, very well represented by the boundary between the warm and cool colors of yellow and blue.

Here are more of my paintings.
